Matt and April's Wedding

It was prom 2003, April's Junior year when she first met Matthew. Matthew attended the prom with another girl as a favor for a friend. When Matt decided to leave because he did not like his date he really gained a reputation from April and her friends. They judged him as being so mean for doing such a dirty thing. April's mom remembers her talking over the summer about how awful he was for leaving his date. Despite his rudeness that night, there was something about Matt that April could not forget, especially his smile. Later, April learned the truth of the reason Matt skipped out on his date the night of the prom.... Now Homecoming was approaching and she needed an escort, Matthew was the only person who came to her mind. She knew she had to have the hottest escort. She made her mind up to put aside what had been said, she was going to take her own chances! April begged her friend to set them up on a big group date and thats what she did. They all piled in and headed to Lazer Tag, where her and Matthew hit it off, just as she had planned. The phone calls went from hours to sometimes all night calls. The fair came along where they spent most of their time at Mile Branch. One night while being gone for a week on a school trip he asked if she would want to be his girlfriend. She accepted and seven years later they are still crazy about each other. Every year for the fair they revisit Mile Branch for the great memories they shared there. I remember back when I was in school and fair time came around, that was when you could run free with out parents and meet up with your friends and boyfriend. It was the perfect time to be free at our young age and act like grown ups.

Time for senior pictures and it has been a very busy month for me! These beautiful seniors are keeping me in shape while I fight the expected weight gain that comes with being 7 months pregnant. I was asked to take senior pictures by this sweet young lady Raelynn who I have something in common with and that would be the love of horses. What a pleasure it was to photography Miss Morgan! She just looks fabulous? Mom and Dad did a great job with her outfit, I just love it! I'm so glad we had to reschedule from our original session because of the rain, this day was just perfect for all of us and Dad got to come join us. Once I get caught up, I will try to post more on my neglected BLOG! Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!!! Now I'm off to Baton Rouge for shopping tomorrow till Monday.

"Fall Mini Sessions"

I’m so excited about these! I have never done mini sessions before, but I think they are a GREAT way to get a quick session in at a GREAT price and have your holiday cards taken care. You will have to choose which postcard you like but remember first come first serve!

I will be doing these 4 mini session one day in each town that I have listed. Locations are not final but I will post as soon as I decide. These mini sessions are for small families up to 6 people (extra for more people) or if you just want pictures of your children, we can do that too!

The mini sessions last for 30 minutes and we will just jump right into taking pictures! I will have an assistant with me during these sessions to help get the attention of smaller kids (lol, even big kids for that matter). The purpose of these mini sessions are to get some pictures of your family and kids for your holiday cards OR if you are just really wanting (needing) family pictures taken because it’s been YEARS since you’ve done it...

One thing that is VERY important, is that you show up on time. If you are late, that will cut into your session time.

You will get 5 – 10 images displayed in an online gallery depending on which package you choose. (You CAN order prints of the images taken and they will be 15% off as part of these mini sessions).

I have four openings on each day. $150 is due at the time of your booking to guarantee the time you’d like. I will post here as the times fill up to give you a visual of what times are taken and available.

Take advantage of this great deal, there are limited spots available! If you know anyone who might be interested, let them know! If you tell a friend and they book a mini session (mentioning YOU told them), you will get an 11x14 print!

Her name is Isabella Grace and she is such a sweet, beautiful little girl. She has all brother's so that makes her the "baby princess" of her family. Isabella Grace and mom drove in from Covington one evening to visit me. When we began, mom and I were a little worried because she was not in the picture taking mode. After a little fun time with her she warmed up and I gained a new little friend! Lucky me and thanks mom for all your hard work and help. I know there are several on this post but I had so many favorites and couldn't hold back!

There are many special aspect of photography such as meeting new people, making new friends, capturing the special moments that children, life hand to us. One lately is re-uniting with friends that I do not get to see often or have not seen in years Below is a friend from high school in which I had the honor of photographing last weekend and lucky for us she did not have to travel far. We discovered from Facebook that we live in the same town, what a small world. I really enjoyed this session, they were so much fun. We laughed, renamed some animals and even ran from a snake. I think she should be a model but she settled for Dental Hygiene School. Probably a good choice. This makes two sisters in this field. We had a fun day out on my Dads farm taking Colby and Josh's engagement pictures. Josh is usually serious but not this day, we had a blast laughing at (oh with him). I was a bit nervous when they asked me to take their engagement pictures because I just wanted everything to be perfect for her. Family is always your hardest clients but I have to say that Colby and Josh were an exception. Here are a few pictures for you until I get the others ready.

My Baby Turns One Today!

Wow! It has been one whole year. Our baby is growing up, it make me sad but happy all at the same time. I am working on a collage of Tyler to post. I was suppose to have that finished today but time slips away. This is my down fall, when it comes to printing pictures of my own family I always fall short. I really need to work on that. Guess I will make that a priority, I have a whole year of Tyler to catch up on. When I'm done my husband will be so proud of me. Today we took Tyler, Madison and their cousin Caleb to the movie Hotels for Dogs. Tyler loves dogs, the first word that he Say's when he awakes is "dog" ummmm ummmm (his bark). He loved the movie. We also took him to get a new car seat called a cowmooflage by Britax, yes the second thing he Say's when he wakes is moooooo "Cow" so we decided to get him his own personal cow. He is ready to cruise and ride facing forward. We had a great day, I didn't want it to end. Now we have to get ready for his birthday party for this Saturday! Cant wait to see the excitement on his happy little face! Here is the working collage but will post the final when finished!

This was so much fun and very unexpected! SNOW IN THE SOUTH who ever heard of that? My husbands getting better with the camera, I am so proud of him. Usually he will not pick the camera up because I "No! No! Do it like this, turn it horizontal, zoom in...." and then its all over with, he loses interest (I don't blame him. Today was my lucky day because Mr. S was willing to drive us back through some fields (OK, my sister and I had to twist his arm and his wife had to push him along just a little) but he was a good sport. Camouflage Man

This is what my husband did this morning, he told me to close my eyes he had me a surprise, when I opened them I saw this little camouflage man. He is so cute but only his daddy would dress him like this. His daddy was so proud of him so that's all that counts and off to daycare they went!!!

The children are so cute in the afternoon, I have several of them that run up and give me hugs. Local Monogramming (FRANKLINTON)

There is a monogramming store in Turtle Creek Mall (Hattisburg MS) that I love. They offer monogramming amoung other items that are cute and fun to have for your children, especially those in school. Mrs. Delane is a local (Franklinton) that offers all sorts of these same goodies. I went to her to get my daughters booksack monogrammed and discovered a lot of fun things. For those of you who love to have your childrens things monogrammed, should check her out. She not only monograms she also makes the cuttest outfits (pillow case dressed, school bows, jewerly....) Out of Town

I will be back in town on Saturday! I will respond to all emails as soon as I get back home. I am in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a seminar in reference to Echocardiograms. The weather is beautiful as well as the sights. Cant wait to get home to see my family and post some of my pictures. Tyler cut his first tooth and I am missing it. I love my job but am so sad that I missed him cutting his first tooth. We are approximately 30 minutes from Lake Michigan so I jumped on a transit bus my first day here and headed down town on Michigan Ave. What an adventure. After getting on the bus I thought, what have I gotten myself into but there was no turning back. I was able to find my way to the new Harley-Davidson Museum, PABST Mansion, Miller Brewery and most exciting Lake Michigan. Keep posted for all my interesting pictures, but first I must get home and spend some quality time with my so missed family.

Tyler is 6 1/2 months old now! He still loves for his mommy and daddy to take his pictures (we will see how long that will last). It's time to get back on a schedule, school starts next Tuesday so no more sleeping in! I hope you all didn't wait till the last minute to get all your school things because the pickings are slim. I had this cute book sack ordered for Madison from Pottery Barn and just found out that it will be back ordered so we will be on the search for another. Here are Roman, Cara and Luke again at 3 months old. Haven't they grown? Every time I make a trip to Hammond I think about these little angel's. I think about them so much that I am just forced to stop to get some hugs. They all have a new toy "bébéPOD Plus Infant Seat", they can be purchased at Target and make the cutest little props. I cant wait till my next trip just so that I can catch them in their new toys playing. Well, here is an update on the Triplets plus Mom and Dad. These babies have already been on their first airplane trip. They are always on the go and all are doing GREAT!

Artesian Well

There is an artesian well at the Washington Parish Fair Grounds. Yesterday while taking a break and drinking some of this wonderful water I spotted a little boy with his dad filling thier water jugs. I could not resist taking a picture of this cutie. I think his name is BJ. By the way this water is so cold and very good.

A little FYI
An artesian well allows water to rise to the surface that has traveled through porous rock from a higher elevation. This pumpless well seems to defy gravity because the pressure that builds up between layers of rock gets relieved when the water finds a path to the open air. For nearly a thousand years, people have drilled wells to drink such cold, filtered water that doesn't need to be hauled up from the depths.
